Morning after breakfast visits the Chandragiri hilltop is rich in both natural beauty and cultural value. From up there, one can see the entire Kathmandu valley. Also visit at The Bhaleshwar Mahadev Temple, which has a pleasant, antique vibe, stands at the Chandragiri Hill to reflect the region’s cultural richness.
One of the more well-known stories from Hindu mythology has a relation to the location. According to legend, the God of Destruction dragged Sati’s corpse around the universe after she committed suicide by plunging into the fire to protest her father’s insults of Shiva, and the forehead portion of the goddess fell just here atop Chandragiri Hill which is worshipped as a Shaktipeeth temple.
